SATURDAY, MAY 30
WATER-PROOFED and wind-proofed, 60 bedraggled golfers played a stableford competition, sponsored by Doug Watson Mensland on the Port Lincoln course.
In the men's handicap divisions, Huey Rosalia paddled in to win A grade with 36 points from Greg Cotton on 34.
B grade winner was Lance Appleby with 35, from Jim Kassiotis on 34, and Andrew Dickie assessed a damp-course to win C grade with 34, from Chris McGown 33.
Run-downs went to Mick Hegarty and Josh Hausler, both on 33, and Rick Kolega and Haydn Myers with 31 points each.
Cynthia Thompson took out the Ladies' Section with 34 points, from Carolyn Cocks on 31.
There was a solitary par-three birdie scored on the day, to "General" Grant Bamber on the 18th.
THURSDAY, MAY 28
Twenty one ladies played a stableford competition, sponsored by Port Lincoln Gourmet Meats.
The weather was fine but the scores were cloudy.
Carolyn Cocks won the day with 34 points from Marg Jenkins on 33.
Run-downs went to Adie Fraser and Helen George on 32 and Gail Waterston on 30, on a count-back from Sue Bishop.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 27
None of the 64 men scored 40 stableford points in their mid-week competition, although the weather was fine. The sponsors were again Port Lincoln Gourmet Meats.
Don Henson won A grade with 39 points from Rick "Cool-Hand" Kolega on 37.
Brenton "Boy" George took out B grade with 35 points from Graeme "GD" Dyke and Tom Dawson was the C grade winner with 38 points from Noel "Rumpole" Jenkins on 36.
Run downs went to Huey Rosalia, Dan Townsend and Peter Leahy all on 36, with George Smith on 35, Juri Berzins 34 and Kym "Kimberly" Clarke 33.
There were nine birdies on the par-three holes, from Tyson Dodd, John Cheriton, Graeme Dyke, Kym Clarke, Greg Hughes, Dave Batterbury, Leon Newman, Brian Smith and Wayne Smith.
SUNDAY, MAY 24
Fifteen men and six women took to the course for Sunday's Stableford event.
The men's winner was George Smith with 38 points, from Dave Wallace on 35.
Cindy Carr was the ladies' winner with 28 points, on a count-back from Deb Sykes.
The Fulwood Cup grand final was decided with Dave Wallace successful, with eight holes up and seven to play, from first-year player Dylan Vonderwall. Congratulations to both finalists.
