SATURDAY, JULY 25
Eighty men hit off in perfect conditions for a Stroke competition to decide the Monthly Medals. There was one visitor and the daily sponsors were the Sarin Group.
The medalists were led by Dylan Bell in A grade, who shot a resounding seven under par to record a 65 off the stick. Jake Norris won B grade with 83 and Leon Newman took out C grade with 87.
In the daily competition, Dylan Bell was also the A grade winner with nett 65 from his scratch handicap, from James Blewit with 68. Jake Norris also had 68 in B grade, winning from Ben White with 68. With 67 nett, Paul Oldacre upstaged Leon Newman in C grade.
Rundowns went to Josh Hausler 68, Craig Reinke and B. Abley 69, and Jamie Puddy, Shaun Thomas and Adam Sullivan all had 70 nett.
The best of the eight ladies who played was Cynthia Thomson with 70 and Cindy Carr 72.
Nearest the Pin winners were Shaun Thomas (three times), Shaun Rouse, Trevor Durdin, Dylan Bell and Huey Rosalia.
There were a total of twelve birdies on the par three holes, from Paul Oldacre, Josh Hasler (twice), Ben Abley, Shaun Thomas, Guy Bagshaw, John Hussey, Andrew Tiller, Chas Chambers, Huey Rosalia, Shaun Rouse and Rex Martin.
THURSDAY, JULY 23
Today's competition was the annual Ladies' Club Foursomes Championships, sponsored by Liz Bice and Kallinyalla Nursery. Fine weather greeted the players.
The 27-hole division one winners off the stick were Jo Higgins and Val Sharrad with 139. Runners-up were Helen George and Elaine Pierik with 141.
The 27-hole division two winners off the stick were Deb Sykes and Josie Bacchus with 158. Runners-up were Maxine Garnaut and Lorraine McDonald with 161, on a count-back from Kay Freeth and Gail Watherston.
The 18-hole nett event was won by Val Sharrad and Jo Higgins with 69.
Of interest, the Honour Board shows that Val Sharrad has won this event multiple times, with five different partners.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 22
The mid-week competition saw 63 men, including one visitor from Coffin Bay GC, hit off in fine conditions. The sponsors were Tumby Bay Bakery and Kemp Real Esate.
Taylor Ford had another 'bottler' to win A grade with the equal score of the day - 41 points, from Adam Sullivan on 40. Two consistent players fought out B grade, won by Juri Berzins on 37, from Andrew Stevens 36. C grade saw visitor Mike Bower win with 41 points, from a 'corker' from Bill Ford with 37.
Rundowns went to Dan Townsend 39, Mick Hegarty 38, Darryl Scharfeand Wayne Smih on 36 and Ben Jaensch 35.
NTP winners were Kris Bunder, Greg Barry, Josh Hausler, Adam Sullivan, T Dragun and Mark Cooper, and birdie winners were Dan Townsend, Greg Barry, Graeme Dyke, Bill Healey and visitor Mike Bowyer.
SUNDAY, JULY 19
Twenty four players took part in the Sunday stableford competition. The men's winner was Guy Hutchinson with 36 points, from Lindsay Gordon 35 and Daryl Evans 34. The best of the ladies was Helen George with 35 points.
