Seventy men and 15 ladies played a stableford competition, with two visitors from Waikerie and Coffin Bay.

The A grade men's winner was Shaun Rouse with 40 points on a countback from Chris Baird. Brian Henson, an unfamiliar B grader, won with 38 from another unfamiliar B grader in Peter Schaefer on 37.

In the weight-for-age C grade, Kevin Reidy was first past the post on 45 points, with James Fuss on 39 a distant placegetter.

Rundowns went to Rex Martin on 39, Mick Hegarty and visitor Jack Sullivan 38, Tony Manuel and Mark Cooper 37 and Jack Shanley on 36.

Club patron Maxine Garnaut won the ladies division with 39 points from Cynthia Thompson and Liz Weatherspoon, both on 36.

NTP winners were Hayden Myers (twice), Jack Sullivan (twice), Josh Hausler and Matt Molloy. Birdies came from Reidy, Rouse, Martin, Sullivan, Robert Fox and Stuey Pobke.


The first round of the second and final 10-week series of Friday night teams ambrose started.


A good field of 22 ladies played a par competition, sponsored by Kallinyalla Nursery and McDonald's. There was a visitor from Devilbend Golf Club in Victoria.

For the third week in a row the winners were unchanged, with Cindy Carr claiming an excellent +6 from Jo Higgins' +3.

Rundowns went to Lorraine McDonald on +1, and Jinny Hussey and Maxine Garnaut, both square.

NTP winners were Higgins, McDonald and Weatherspoon.


A record was broken a week earlier with 90 players. On this day, 92 men hit off in their weekly competition, including visitors from Tumby Bay, Port Neill, Roxby Downs, Waikerie, West Lakes, Coffin Bay and Elliston. The sponsor was EP Cleaning Supplies.

The A grade winner was Ryan Cottrill with 40 points from Brett Davies on 38. The score of the day came from country member Jack Humphries with 45 in the B grade, ahead of Juri Berzins' 37, as visitor Lachlan Gale won the C grade with 38 points on a countback from Fox.

Rundowns went to Adam Sullivan on 37, Dave Sargent, Ashley Durdin and Shanley on 36, with Huey Rosalia, Warren Rosman and Michael Schoeman scoring 35 points to close out the winners' circle.

NTP winners were Humphries, Mike Freeman, Brett Davies, Daryl Evans, Leon Newman and Berzins. There were seven par-three birdies from Davies, Rosalia, Rosman, Simon Bell, Berzins (twice) and Durdin.


There were only six players for Tuesday twilight golf. The winner was Greg Cotton with 20 points.


The monthly seniors' day winners were Bevis Frances for the men with 40 points, from Berzins on 38. Evergreen Geoff Will was next with a creditable 36 points from his 33 golf handicap and a 90+ age handicap!

The ladies once again outclassed the men as Hussey won with 41 points from Thompson on 37 points.


The Sunday competition was won by Greg Barry on 39, ahead of Stephen Rees' 38. They were followed by Davies and Shanley, both on 37.

Outgunning the men, Helen George won the day with 40 points.


Sixteen players celebrated the new year in a stableford competition. The winner was Adam Davies with 40 points from Robert Humphries on 39 and Jordan Chilman's 38.
