The mini film festival which was cancelled in November due to the COVID-19 lockdown will be hosted in Port Lincoln next weekend.

Part of the Adelaide Film Festival, three regional areas - including Port Lincoln - have been given the opportunity to stage a mini festival.

Four films will screen at Lincoln Cinema from Friday, January 22 to Sunday, January 24, starting on Friday with Wild Things.

The film is about a year on the frontline of environmental activism and follows a short film created by Benno Thiel, a former Port Lincoln resident and St Jospeh's student.

The Saturday screening of Shiva Baby will be followed by a short question and answer session with producer Kieran Altmann, who grew up in Murray Bridge and now works in New York.

He will answer questions about this film and his role in the production.

The other international films coming to the cinema as part of the festival are the Danish comedy drama Another Round on Saturday evening, before finishing on Sunday afternoon with The Perfect Candidate.

The latter is the first film by a female Saudi Arabian director.

Bookings are essential, at lincolncinema.net or on 8683 1199.
