Award winning multi-instrumentalist Craig Atkins will playing live in Port Lincoln later this month before he heads on a three-month tour of Western Australia.
The solo acoustic-driven roots, blues and folk musician is based in Adelaide, and will be at Soundcity on Saturday, January 30.
Mr Atkins' set-up consists of various instruments, from acoustic guitars and cigar box guitars to didgeridoos, harmonica and loop and effect pedals.
Influenced by artists such as Paul Kelly, Joe Purdy, Harry Manx and Xavier Rudd, his live performances blend various styles with dynamics ranging from chilled finger-picking folk stories to slide delta blues, through to rollicking folk foot tappers and stomping jumping roots, with lyrical content covering aspects of his life and observations of the world.
Doors open at 7pm for the show.
Tickets cost $15 plus booking fee and can be purchased from soundcity.com.au/event-tix/.
