Lock Race Club was keeping country racing in the country at McLachlan Park Racecourse at Lock on Sunday for the 55th Lock Cup race meet.
Once again the Lock Race Club held another great family friendly day with 625 people in attendance.
Everyone enjoyed the day with plenty of seating, shade, food, drinks and entertainment. The children had their own play area set up with a boat sand pit, cubby house, seating, SPECKS and Squiggles face painting and much more.
This year's race meet was bigger and better than in previous years, holding seven races instead of the usual six.
Fifty seven horses plus trainers, strappers and crew arrived on the day from Port Lincoln, Quorn, Ceduna, Strathalbyn, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta and Streaky Bay.
The main race of the day was the 55th Lock Cup, won by a Port Lincoln horse 'Dance of Heroes' owned and trained by Ryan Dawson and partners.
