A speeding driver was fined after being caught at more than 50 kilometres per hour over the speed limit on the West Coast this week.
Police were conducting speed detection duties on the Flinders Highway at Haslam on Wednesday, May 12 when at about 9am they detected a vehicle travelling at 167km/h in a 110km/h zone.
Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 44-year-old Mitchell Park man, who was issued with a $1780 fine.
The man also lost his licence on the spot for six months for excessive speed.
