The family of Kayla Strezovski has congratulated her on her recent graduation.

In 2019, Miss Strezovski received the 'City of West Torrens Max and Bette Mendelson Foundation Scholarship' to study a Bachelor of Software Engineering at University of South Australia.

Over the next couple of years she dedicated herself to her study while working part time and on April 24 she graduated as a software developer with a grade point average of seven.

Parents Tim and Lynne Strezovski and grandmother Aggie Strezovski have congratulated her on her achievements, wished her luck on moving on to her Masters in teaching and wished her a happy birthday for Tuesday, June 8.

The Strezovskis moved to Port Lincoln from North Macedonia in 1969 and have called the town home since.

Kalya's mother Lynne was born and raised in Kimba, the daughter of Des and Janet Hawthorne - they lived off the land at their farm for four decades and was how they made their living, selling grain and sheep as a bonus.
