The ferry service between Lucky Bay and Wallaroo will be out of service for more than a month as the passenger ferry undergoes scheduled maintenance.

Spencer Gulf Searoad has announced its Spencer Gulf ferry service will be out of service from June 27 through to and including July 29 as the passenger ferry Aurora V undergoes repairs and maintenance.

The ferry, which returned to service in November last year, will make its way to Port Adelaide for slipping on June 27 before returning to Wallaroo for remaining maintenance.

The company aims to resume the ferry service on July 30.

Spencer Gulf Searoad general manager Sue Cassidy said the repairs and maintenance would ensure the company could continue to provide an efficient ongoing service without further interruptions.

"We would like to thank our customers for their patience during the temporary suspension to our service," she said.

"Reservations at both Wallaroo and Lucky Bay will be open during this time to assist with any questions or reservations, online bookings can still be made for future bookings also."

The ferry service resumed last year for the first time since 2017.
