Wins for Tigers and Ranges extends gap to the pack

The top two Eastern Eyre netball A grade sides secured victories as the competition returned to action on the weekend.

Kimba Districts went into their match away to Cowell after a two-week break leading the table on percentage from Eastern Ranges and made it five wins on the trot with a victory by 20 goals.

The Tigers were dominant at either end as they got the better of the Cats 52-32.

Just as they had done throughout the season, Kimba were tight at the back which was the platform for their success.

The weekend's other match saw Eastern Ranges come away with a nine-goal win against Central Eyre United at Wudinna.

Having tasted defeat for the first time this season last time out against the Tigers, Ranges picked up an important win.

They did not have it all their own way and were made to fight for the 47-38 result by the Storm.

In the B grade, Kimba Districts were comfortable in defeating Cowell by 37 goals.

The Tigers dominated across the court to record a 56-19 result.

Meanwhile, Eastern Ranges remain two points clear at the top of the table after downing Central Eyre United by 13 goals.

The league leaders went home with a 50-37 result.

In the C grade, Kimba Districts were too good for Cowell and came away with a 39-23 result, while leading side Central Eyre United downed Eastern Ranges 60-40 in a top-of-the-table contest.
