The 41st annual Wayne Evans Shield will be held this Sunday, August 29 at Poole Oval. A full day of under 11 footy will see future stars such as Marble Range's Tilo Schultz and Mallee Park's Kyson Roderick (pictured) show their skills. There is a $5 entry fee with all money raised to go towards Ronald McDonald House.

Port Lincoln Community Family Market is on Sunday, August 29 from 9am until 2pm at the Nautilus Theatre. A variety of new stalls selling local honey, garlic, Windy Hill Olives and oil, free range eggs, baked goods, gourmet bagels, local history books, handmade art and crafts, plants and flowers, gift cards, leather items, candles, dream catchers, jewellery and many other great stalls. Whalers Way Orbital Launch community information session on Sunday, August 29 from 2-6pm at Beer Garden Brewing, 28 London Street Port Lincoln. Detailed summaries of the Environmental Impact Statement reports and appendices will be available for viewing and discussion. This is a free event, open mike all welcome. COVID restrictions will apply.

The Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary will be hosting their bi-monthly meeting at the Anglican Church hall on Thursday, September 2 at 10am, for coffee and cake in remembrance of past member, Betty Dunn.

The Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary will host its annual Father's Day cake stall on Friday, September 3 outside the Ceduna Memorial Hall, commencing at 9am. Any donations towards the stall would be greatly appreciated.

The smells and the colour of spring will be on show at Ravendale Show Pavilion on September 5 as the Port Lincoln A & H Show Society hold the Indoor Spring Orchid and Flower Show competition. Competition includes cut flowers, floral arrangements, pot plants and orchids. Entries to be received at the show pavilion on Friday, September 3 from 1- 5pm and Saturday, September 4 from 9am to 1pm, judging from 1-5pm. The flower show will be open to the general public on Sunday, September 5 from 10am to 4pm. The society ladies will also showcase their cooking skills with Devonshire tea available from 10am to 4pm, gold coin donation on entry and a raffle will be available.
