COMMUNITY MEET AND GREETS

Lower Eyre Peninsula District Council is holding meet and greets across the district. Mayor Jo-Anne Quigley and chief executive officer Delfina Lanzilli will be on hand to give residents a chance for an informal catch-up. They will be at Port Lincoln Golf Club at 5.30pm on Thursday, September 2 and then will be at Tulka Reserve at 6.30pm on September 7, the Wheatsheaf Hotel at North Shields at 6pm on September 15, Wanilla Hall at 3.30pm on September 16 and Marble Range Community and Sports Centre at 6pm the same day.

AUXILIARY MEETING

The Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary will be hosting their bi-monthly meeting at the Anglican Church hall on Thursday, September 2 at 10am, for coffee and cake in remembrance of past member, Betty Dunn.

CAKE STALL

The Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary will host its annual Father's Day cake stall on Friday, September 3 outside the Ceduna Memorial Hall, commencing at 9am. Any donations towards the stall would be greatly appreciated.

COMBINED PROBUS MEETING

Next meeting of the Combined Probus Club is Friday, September 3 at 9.30am at the Port Lincoln Bowling Club. Guest speaker in attendance.

SATURDAY DANCE

Enjoy dancing on Saturday, September 4 in the Anglican Parish Hall, Port Lincoln, starting at 7.30pm. BYO thermos and supper and remember your mask. All welcome.

WANILLA DANCE CANCELLED

The dance scheduled at Wanilla Hall for this Saturday September 4 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. The next dance will be on the first Saturday in October.

MAN WITH A PRAM WALK

Fathers are invited to join in the 'Man with a Pram' walk on the Port Lincoln Foreshore this Sunday. Sign in at 9.45am for a 10am start. Walk with us from Port Lincoln Yacht Club to Port Lincoln Hotel and back. Wear blue and join us in celebrating and recognising fathers in our community. Everyone welcome. BYO prams, bikes, scooters, skateboard, trolleys, Krafted foods and RFDS donuts will be available. Please register through Eventbrite beforehand if possible.

FLOWER AND ORCHID SHOW

The smells and the colour of spring will be on show at Ravendale Show Pavilion on September 5 as the Port Lincoln A & H Show Society hold the Indoor Spring Orchid and Flower Show competition. Competition includes cut flowers, floral arrangements, pot plants and orchids. Entries to be received at the show pavilion on Friday, September 3 from 1- 5pm and Saturday, September 4 from 9am to 1pm, judging from 1-5pm. The flower show will be open to the general public on Sunday, September 5 from 10am to 4pm. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.portlinconshow.com, are available in the showbook or contact 0409 844 310 for more information. The society ladies will also showcase their cooking skills with Devonshire tea available from 10am to 4pm, gold coin donation on entry and a raffle will be available.
