Ceduna teenagers charged following motorbike thefts

Two teenagers have been arrested following a break-in at Ceduna.

On Sunday, August 29, two motorbikes were stolen from a home after it was broken into.

Police patrols followed the tyre tracks to a local beach and located the two young men on the bikes, who dumped them and attempted to flee.

One was caught, and was also in possession of two firearms stolen earlier in the week in Ceduna.

A 16-year-old local boy was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft, firearms offences and breaching bail. He was bailed to appear in court on October 25.

The second man evaded police, but following an investigation yesterday, August 30, police located and arrested the second teenager.

The 19-year-old was charged with serious criminal trespass, was refused police bail and will appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court today.
