CELEBRATING OUR VOLUNTEERS
RetireAustralia is inviting the community as it acknowledges volunteers past, present and future and their efforts in a celebration at Lincoln Grove Community Centre, 27 Marine Avenue, Port Lincoln from 10am. A representative from Volunteering SA&NT will discuss the impact volunteers have on the community and how volunteers can move forward while dealing with uncertainty in a COVID-19 world. COVID-19 restrictions apply.

Mentally Fit EP invites people to come to Port Lincoln Yacht Club on September 9 from 8.30am for R U OK Day. People can enjoy some free sweet treats, a tea or coffee from Krafted Food Co and have a chat with other community members with information available about local services. There will also be some fun chalk drawing on the pavement.

ROSES IN THE OCEAN CEREMONY
Beacon of Hope - Tumby Bay and Districts Suicide Prevention Network will hold the Roses in the Ocean Ceremony for World Suicide Prevention Day on Friday, September 10 at 10am at the Tumby Bay Jetty. The ceremony remembers each precious life lost and acknowledges the ripple effect left behind. Special guests will be Steve 'Willow' Whillas (Mentally Fit EP), Ingrid Kennerley (Empowering Lower Eyre) and Anne Evans (Standby Support after Suicide). Morning tea will follow the ceremony and flowers will be available all day. All are welcome.

Dockings Band will play for dancing on Saturday, September 11 in the Anglican Parish Hall, Port Lincoln starting at 7.30pm. BYO thermos and supper. COVID-19 restrictions will apply. All welcome.

Lower Eyre Peninsula District Council is holding meet and greets across the district. Mayor Jo-Anne Quigley and chief executive officer Delfina Lanzilli (pictured) will be on hand for an informal catch-up at the Wheatsheaf Hotel at North Shields at 6pm on September 15, Wanilla Hall at 3.30pm on September 16 and Marble Range Community and Sports Centre at 6pm the same day.

The Lincoln Community Family Market returns on Sunday, September 19 from 9am to 2pm at the Nautilus Theatre on Tasman Terrace. There will be a variety of new stalls selling local honey, garlic, Windy Hill olives and oil, free range eggs, baked goods, gourmet bagels, local history books, handmade arts and crafts, kokobabies, plants and flowers, crystals, gift cards, leather items, cane wares, candles, dream catchers, boho clothing, jewellery, toys, and many other great items. Come and grab a bargain as the Cummins Community Garage Sale on September 26. Anyone who wishes to take part but doesn't have a house in town can take part with 'Trash and Treasure' market stalls available for hire at the Cummins Hall.
