Drink-driver stopped at Port Neill

A drink-driver lost his licence and will face court after being detected at Port Neill on Monday morning.

Eyre and Western highway patrols stopped a vehicle that was travelling on Gill Street and submitted the driver to a breath test at about 9.30am.

The driver, a 65-year-old man from Port Neill, allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.183 - more than three times over the legal limit.

He was reported for drink-driving and is set to appear in court at a later date.

The man was also issued with a 12-month loss of licence notice and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
