Marks wins A grade on 42 stableford points

Norm Marks aced the sixth hole and the Doug Watson Trophy semi-finals were played. Trent Bradford took 20 holes to finally overcome Jason Verhees and John Cheriton defeated Scotty Francis 6/4.

In the handicap divisions, sponsored by Bradford Constructions, Norm Marks won A grade with 42 stableford points from Simon Bell on 36.

Cliff Taylor took out B grade with 36 from Tom Dawson 35, and Leon Newman won C grade with 35 from Ben Jaensch on 34. There were three visitors from Tea Tree Gully and Coffin Bay.

Rundowns went to Trevor Durdin 36 and Tony Dragun, visitor Ian Baldwin, Chris Brooks and Brian Henson all had 35 points.

In the Ladies' division, Maxine Garnaut won with 32 from Lorraine McDonald on 32 points.

NTP winners were visitor Stephen Schick, Norm Marks, Andrew Puglisi, Tim Robinson, Tony Dragun, Norm Marks and Helen George.

Par three birdies were scored by Simon Bell, visitor Ian Baldwin, Brian Henson, Ben Jaensch, Tim Robinson and Dan Townsend.


A good field of 22 women played a Stroke round for their Monthly Medal, sponsored by Evoke and Leader Distributors.

The winner was Kaye Jaensch with nett 70 from Deb Sykes on 73. Rundowns went to Val Sharrad and Josie Bacchus on 74 and Helen George on 75.


A strong field of eighty men played in their weekly competition, sponsored by McDonald's Port Lincoln. There were two visitors from Glenelg Golf Club.

Josh Hausler and Trent Bradford continued their current good form, winning A grade with 39 and 38 stableford points respectively.

The B grade winner was Andrew Allen with 38, from Tim Blewit on 37, and Peter Watherston took out C grade with 39 from Brian Smith on 35.

Rundowns went to Daryl Evans 38, David Fitzgerald and Dave Sargent on 36, Ben Sellen and Bob Sorensen on 35 and Leon Newman on 34.

NTP winners were Mick Hegarty, Graeme Dyke (twice), Clint Scharfe, Kris Bunder and Peter Kenny. Rick Kolega, Dan Townsend, Kris Bunder, Jordon Hind, Graeme Dyke, Peter Kenny and Robert Proude all had birdies on the par three holes.


The Ladies' Southern EP Pennants competition concluded at Tumby Bay. The overall winners were the Port Lincoln Red Team from Coffin Bay Club. Other teams included Tumby Bay, Cummins and two other Port Lincoln teams.


James Blewit won the Sunday Stableford competition with 37 points, from Stephen Rees on 36 on a countback from Ben Sellen.
