Port Lincoln's Cindy Carr wins EP Champion of Champions ladies golf competition

Five clubs were represented as Streaky Bay hosted the Eyre Peninsula Champion of Champions ladies golf event on Wednesday.

A total of 31 players took part from the Streaky Bay, Port Lincoln, Cummins, Coffin Bay and Tumby Bay golf clubs, with the course in perfect conditions and bathed in sunshine.

The event was sponsored by Streaky Bay Motel and Villas.

Taking the win in the A grade was Cindy Carr of Port Lincoln, who finished with a score of 87 off the stick and 74 nett, while Streaky Bay player Jan Kenny was the runner-up with 101/83.

The B grade title went to Ann Trewartha from Coffin Bay after she hit a 103 off the stick for a nett score of 79, to take the win from Dianne Georgiou of Streaky Bay after her 108/79.

In the C grade it was Karen Georgiou celebrating after she carded 111 off the stick and 76 nett to finish ahead of Cummins' Joyleen Pedler on 121/85.

The masters division was won by Ann Middleton of Coffin Bay as she hit a score of 87 off the stick and 62 nett, with Streaky Bay's Sue Rumbelow the runner-up with 106/74.

President of Eyre Peninsula Ladies Golf Brenda Heath was on hand to present the awards to the winners.
