Pair charged following break in, stabbing

A woman and teenager will appear in court today following an assault and break-in at Port Lincoln yesterday.

Police allege the pair entered a Port Lincoln home armed with a taser and machete and assaulted a 24-year-old man. The man suffered stab wounds and was taken to the Port Lincoln Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are non life-threatening.

A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old woman, both from Port Lincoln, were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, assault causing harm and possession of a dangerous article.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Youth and Magistrates Courts respectively, later today.

Police said the victim and alleged perpetrators are all known to one another.
