It's Flashback Time! Before you look forward to your future plans at the weekend enjoy this weekly look back at the past through the Port Lincoln Times Flashback Friday.
This week we are going back nearly 30 years to feature images from editions of the Port Lincoln Times throughout October, 1992.
Can you recognise anyone in this week's gallery?
Many people in the 1990s would have fond memories of the Big Day Out music festival and 1992 saw the first Big Day Out held in Sydney with Nirvana and Violent Femmes headlining.
In sport the AFL premiership cup left Victoria for the first time as West Coast defeated Geelong by 28 points in the Grand Final with Peter Matera receiving the Norm Smith Medal.
It was also the year of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics with Australia winning 27 medals, seven of them gold.
Australia also competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, however it would be another two years before Australia would win its first ever Winter Olympic medal.
NOTE: This gallery may contain images of deceased Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander persons and may cause distress to those communities.
