The Red Cross Lifeblood mobile centre will be at the Port Lincoln Bowling Club next week taking donations.

The mobile centre will be available from Monday, October 18 to Thursday, October 21.

Blood donations are needed every 24 seconds in Australia, so Lifeblood is asking people to book and fill the remaining appointments available to donate and receive their limited-edition bandage.

Lifeblood is also launching its 'True Colours' campaign, giving donors a limited-edition artwork bandage when they give blood.

This is in accordance with their new research that shows people wearing a blood donation bandage are seen as generous, healthy, and potentially more attractive.

As part of the campaign, Lifeblood has partnered with six Aussie artists, including internationally renowned artist Ken Done, to design a vibrant range of limited-edition bandages set to be given out until November 14.

Joining Ken Done in designing the bandages were artists David Booth, Eric Bridgeman, Francis Cannon, Vipoo Srivilasa, and Kaylene Whiskey.
