Remember their sacrifice
Remembrance Day services will be held across Lower Eyre Peninsula on November 11 as Australians commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Port Lincoln RSL will hold a service at 10.30am at the War Memorial at Eyre Park, followed by a light lunch at the RSL Clubrooms. The branch will also hold a service at the Garden of Remembrance at 10.30am the following Sunday. Tumby Bay RSL will hold its regular commemoration service at the War Memorial on Mortlock Street at 10.30am, followed by quiet drinks at the clubrooms. Cummins and Yeelanna RSL will hold a small service on Remembrance Day at the memorial at the junction of Railway Terrace and Tumby Bay Road at 10.45am. All are welcome to attend, COVID rules apply.

Boogie with live music
A fundraiser for the historic Lipson Hall will be held on Saturday, November 20. Frock up for a night of rock n' roll, ballroom and line dancing, or simply enjoy the music from The Old Dogs. The fundraiser starts at 2pm and goes until late. Bring your own table nibbles and drinks. Dance admission is $10 for adults, and a gold coin donation for children. The Friends of the Parnkalla Walking Trail are holding their annual general meeting on Monday, November 15 at 7.30 pm at Kirton Point Bowling Club. Guest speaker Ian Abbott will talk about native plants.

Meeting and a Happy Chat
Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club's next general meeting is on Tuesday, November 16 at 10am at the Boston Sports Clubrooms. There will be no meeting in December. Dockings Band will play for dancing on Saturday, November 13 in the Anglican Parish Hall, Port Lincoln, starting at 7.30pm. BYO thermos and supper. COVID-19 restrictions will apply. All welcome.

Bag a bargain at Coffin Bay
Coffin Bay market is on this Sunday, November 14 from 10am to 2.30pm in the Hall by the Sea. There are loads of great stalls including homemade tarts, pasties, cakes and other sweets. Also homemade jams, sauces, pastes, relish, nuts, olives, honey, fresh fruit, flowers and garlic. There is also a variety of arts and crafts items. These include quilts, face masks, cards, bees wax covers, jewellery, knitted Items, candles, soaps and a whole lot more. A second hand book stall will also be a feature.
