Here's what was biting and where.

WEST COAST

Plenty of anglers have been chasing mulloway on the Far West Coast. Most groups have been catching fish from 60cm, with most fish being just under legal size.

Streaky and Venus bays have been good for King George whiting to 38cm, plenty of salmon trout, garfish and a few flathead.

Most of the surf beaches are still producing salmon to 3kg. Talia and Locks Well are probably the most consistent.

COFFIN BAY

King George whiting to 38cm have been caught inside the bay on Goolwa cockles and squid baits with some good berley.

The Ledge has been the best area to chase the whiting. There are also plenty of salmon trout, garfish and a few gummy sharks inside the bay.

Farm Beach has been fishing well for plenty of King George whiting in the 30-36cm range, with a few over 40cm models to be had amongst the smaller fish.

Tuna have been spotted in numerous areas from around Sir Isaacs right up the coast to Ceduna. From the reports, they are very small examples, but they are there.

Other offshore options are samsonfish, kingfish, nannygai and school/gummy sharks. Most reefs are holding good numbers of fish most days.

PORT LINCOLN

King George whiting have been caught in most of the local bays. The North Shore and Town Jetty/Wharf areas have proven to be the most consistent spots in the last week.

From a couple of reports, a bag limit of 35-40cm+ King George whiting from the town jetty is certainly a good possibility early morning or late evening.

Garfish, salmon trout and a few blue swimmer crabs have been caught in Boston and Louth bays. Squid are still almost everywhere in good numbers.

The local jetties between Lincoln and Tumby are producing good numbers early and late on good quality neon coloured jigs. The Sleaford to Wanna beaches are holding plenty of salmon in the 2-3kg range.

TUMBY BAY

Squid have started to reappear in the bay. Good numbers of medium to large squid have been caught in 1-5 metres of water on Shimano Flash Boost jigs.

Salmon trout, silver trevally and a few other species have been caught in the Marina.

The Group has King George whiting to 40cm being caught on squid or Goolwa cockle baits in 1-6 metres of water. Berley is a must.

There are also plenty of garfish, big squid, silver trevally and snook around the Islands.

PORT NEILL/ARNO BAY

.King George whiting have been reported by boaties in close to shore late in the afternoon. Squid, snook and garfish are also in decent numbers around both towns and the jetties.

COWELL

Yellowfin whiting are inside the harbour in good numbers. There are reports of good numbers of squid, garfish and blue swimmer crabs on days with good tidal movement.
