A man has been charged after a disturbance at a Port Lincoln business on Thursday.
Police were called to a supermarket on Liverpool Street at about 8.45am on December 9 following reports a man was allegedly causing a disturbance inside.
When police arrived they spoke to a 38-year-old local man, and following a search found he had a number of stolen goods hidden within his clothing.
When officers advised the man he was under arrest he tried to run away, but was quickly apprehended.
During the arrest the man allegedly resisted violently, which caused two cars in the car park to be damaged.
The man has been charged with theft, resisting arrest and property damage.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on January 18.
