Wonderland back in Cummins

Cummins Christmas Wonderland is on at the Cummins Institute between December 1-28, open every day from 10am to 5pm and on Christmas Day from 2-5pm. Explore this year's displays with activities available for the kids, also look out for Bluey and Bingo as well as the Grinch. Father Christmas will visit from December 11 until Christmas Eve between 10am and 12pm. Gold coin donation on entry.


Music returns to Boston Island

Following a successful first event in November, Island Sounds returns to Boston Island on December 27 from 1pm. Take a ferry ride over and enjoy a lineup that includes the surf rock of Ethanol Blend. the groove and jazz stylings of the Sonny Collective and the disco and electro sounds of DJ Axel Rose. Enjoy some beer from Pirate Life or some EP Spirits gin at the cocktail bar before another great ferry ride at sunset. Celebrate new year through dance

Please note the New Year's Eve Dance will be held at the Wanilla Hall on Friday, December 31 at 8pm. Dockings Band will supply music. Please bring a plate of supper to share. For more information contact John Dinham on 8682 1101. There will be no dance on Saturday, January 1.


Start 2022 with a bang in Port Lincoln

New Year's Eve fireworks are on again in Port Lincoln, courtesy of the Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. There will be two events, one at 9.30pm and another at midnight. Twilight Markets return to Port Neill

The Under the Pines Twilight Markets return on Saturday, January 8 with the event committee excited to bring this much loved event back to the town after a year off. There will be an amazing array of stall holders showcasing their passions and unique products, as well as food stall to keep you satisfied throughout the evening. Musician lineup will include Arno Bay's Brook Newton,.2021 Pop People's Choice Awards finalist Josh Morphett and Port Lincoln's Chrissy K Band. Event raising funds for Port Neill projects, including new equipment which has been bought for the foreshore playground and a new storage shed to go next to the local hall. COVID restrictions will be in place.


Experience marine sanctuaries from new angle

Experience Marine Sanctuaries will return to the Eyre Peninsula throughout January to provide snorkel tours of local marine sanctuaries. Tours will be at Flat Rock near Cowell on January 12, at Tumby Bay on January 14 and 15, Mount Dutton Jetty and Caprice Shipwreck on January 16 and Smooth Pool near Streaky Bay on January 18.
